A lot of older properties are still running on electrical service that was sized for a different era. That works fine - until it doesn't. When a property needs more capacity, more circuits, or just a safer and more reliable setup, the answer is a full service upgrade. That's exactly what we tackled here.

We installed a brand new 400 amp service on this property, mounted on a solid wood post structure set right into the ground. The meter base, main disconnect, and panel are all housed together in a clean Eaton enclosure - properly labeled with emergency disconnect signage and fed through conduit coming up from underground. It's a serious setup built to handle serious loads.

The difference between a 200 amp service and a 400 amp service is significant. You're doubling the available capacity, which means room for EV chargers, heavy HVAC systems, shops, future additions - whatever this property might need down the road. Getting ahead of that now is a lot smarter than scrambling later when demand outpaces what the panel can handle.

What we like about jobs like this one is that nothing is done halfway. The conduit work is clean, the enclosure is properly secured and braced, and the whole install is set up to pass inspection without any headaches. Good electrical work means thinking through every detail before the panel door closes.

Whether you're dealing with an undersized service, planning a major addition, or just want the peace of mind that comes with a modern panel upgrade - this is the kind of work that quietly protects everything else in your home.
